Agreement

ShipGate is provided by the personal owner of the ShipGate GitHub App. By installing or using ShipGate, you agree to this End User License Agreement. GitHub is not a party to this agreement, and any legal or support relationship for ShipGate is strictly between you and ShipGate.

Intended Use

ShipGate is intended to help repository maintainers add a comprehension checkpoint to pull requests by generating a short AI-assisted quiz from the pull request diff. The free beta supports public repositories and explicitly allowlisted private repositories.

User Responsibilities

You must use ShipGate in compliance with GitHub's Terms of Service and applicable law. You may not use ShipGate to distribute malware, abuse GitHub APIs, bypass GitHub API rate limits, attack third-party systems, or process data you do not have the right to submit.

AI Content

ShipGate quiz questions, answer choices, and explanations are AI-generated. You are responsible for reviewing whether ShipGate is appropriate for your repository and merge workflow. AI output can be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable for a specific codebase.

Support and Reports

Report bugs, improper AI outputs, privacy requests, or security concerns by emailing legal@shipgate.me.

Termination

You may stop using ShipGate by uninstalling the GitHub App and removing the ShipGate workflow from your repository. ShipGate may suspend or terminate access for abuse, security risk, unsupported use, or violation of these terms.

Disclaimers and Liability

ShipGate is provided as a free beta without warranties. ShipGate does not guarantee that a quiz will be accurate, available, secure for every use case, or sufficient to determine whether a pull request should merge. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShipGate is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.
